Musings on a Saturday

I haven't written for some time so thought I'd try to come up with something interesting to tell about my life in Kansas City. My husband and I survived our first winter here but we were fairly isolated due to the snow. No, there wasn't huge amounts, and there were plenty of days where the roads were dry and you could get where you needed to go pretty easily.

I guess you might call it "self-isolation". There was alot of griping and whining about the sunshine and warm weather in San Diego and that prevented us from appreciating our good fortune in seeing the grandkids more (which is why we moved here) and connecting to all Kansas City has to offer. I found myself constantly comparing the two cities and that is never a successful strategy when one is wanting to acclimate to a new environment.

So, now it is spring, the days are warmer, the sun is shining and now it's time to start to enjoying the experience of being back in the Midwest but with a different twist. Kansas City here I come....
