Wow, I am not a very prolific blogger, my last post was a really long time ago!
Just random thoughts this time around. My husband had coronary artery bypass graft surgery, was diagnosed with cancer , underwent radiation treatments and is still doing nightly PD since my last post. It amazes me how events pile up and you just push on through and adapt as well as you can. We bought a piece at the art fair last summer that says it all,
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it"s learning to dance in the rain". Author unknown
Not that there have not been highs and lows. And depression and anger and sadness and a sense of WTF? But all of those feelings somehow are managed and not brought out for all to see. And there is an underlying sense of hope that doesn't go away and you find yourself clinging to that.
There is also our most proud accomplishment, our children. But is is their children that are our greatest joy and make everything seem normal for awhile. Their smiles, and laughter, their discovery of the world, that is magnificent.
So, in the end, all things considered, it is indeed about learning to dance in the rain!
